We have a great little neighborhood with only about 24 houses. Most here are retired, and all are very, very nice people! This would be so fun to do a block party! |

we just moved in to our house everyone is super nice we have 2 girls they love to talk to everyone none of the neighbors mind always asking how they are doing in school. they are always asking if we need anything and help when we need something. i would really like to win so we can get to know them better and show how thankful we are for their help. |

| What Makes Your Neighborhood Awesome?: |
Our neighborhood ends in a cul-de-sac which makes it a perfect little community. The issue is that in the past 5 years there have been many changes in the population. Some of us have lived here for over 30 years. Our children grew up playing on these streets and have now moved on to homes of their own. Several of our neighbors have passed away and others have moved to retirement communities. This has paved the way for new, younger families to begin the cycle all over again. |

I feel that the timing is perfect for a block party to help us get to know each other and not just to wave as some neighbors are standing in their front yards supervising their young children as they ride bikes while others walk dogs or trim shrubs. We really need to get to have the opportunity to do more than just live near each other! Just the other day i was visiting a neighbor at the top of the street who mentioned this very idea of having a neighborhood get-together and how this would be a first for any of us who have lived here. |

I live on a two-house lane just off the middle of our dead-end street. The beauty of this location is that, unlike most of the streets in our area, our short street is FLAT! It would be the perfect place to set up tables and chairs and not be a hindrance to anyone traveling to or from their homes. Our houses are close together, making it easy to run extension cords for music and food-serving equipment. Our neighborhood is the perfect fit for a block party! What a great way to bring together people of all ages, from babies to retirees, for a time of food and fun!!!!! |

My neighborhood is awesome because we all stick together and keep our streets clean and everyone is always watching out for each other well fare. We are located in the beautiful city of Long Beach, CA right in the heart of downtown where there are so many fun and amazing attractions. Our community is considered historical because of all of the beautiful and amazing buildings and homes. Long Beach is an fun and amazing place to live. |

| What Makes Your Neighborhood Awesome?: |
Several of my neighbors and I have dinner together regularly at alternate houses. Our children play together, go to school together and celebrate birthdays together. If one of us is out of something (milk, sugar, eggs, etc.) we can always get the missing item from a neighbor. If we're out shopping we let other neighbors know in case they need something. During Hurricane Harvey when stores were out of bread, one of the neighbors baked bread for those of us that couldn't find any at the store. Our neighborhood feels like the neighborhood I grew up in during the 1960's and 1970's where everyone knows each other, looks out for each other and is more like a family versus the majority of neighborhoods today where you don't know your neighbors name. |

I live in an awesome community of townhomes, condos and homes called Pineae Gardens in Centerville, UT. All the people who live here are awesome and range in age from newborns to over 89 yrs. of age! These tenants are great neighbors and very friendly! We get to know each other thru dog walking, interaction at the pool and in church. Not all of us attend the local LDS church, but that doesn't matter because they are all interesting and helpful! Man is the most interesting thing on this planet and one can learn a great deal from a neighbor if they just get to know them!!! |

My block has a cul-va-sac in front of my house that would be perfect for a block party. It's easily accessible and would be easy to block off. If electricity is needed our homes are close to the street and extension cords could be used to ger electricity to the street. |

My neighborhood is awesome because it's a fairly new and upcoming sub-division. The neighborhood has a Facebook page, and a neighborhood app that keeps everyone updated on anything that is happening near, or around our neighborhood. It can be from someone's lost pet, to someone whose is selling or giving away items, to giving recommendations for various vendors, or businesses. Everyone in our sub-division is family oriented, hard workers, friendly, but most of all, they look out for each other. Our next door neighbors for example, allow my kids to play in their back-yard (volleyball), so that my kids are not put in harm's way playing volleyball in the street, in front of our house. We are new to the neighborhood and don't have grass yet! Several neighbors get together during the week and weekends and to enjoy each others company and are able to unwind from the week that they just came out of. |

I would love to throw a block party because our sub-division is a family oriented neighborhood that loves getting their families together with other families in the neighborhood and have food, beverages, games, and great conversations, as well as inviting new neighbors so that everyone knows each other. It's a great family affair! |

Our neighborhood would be a great suitable location because we are near everything, there is plenty of large yards, plenty of families with grills, families who love mingling with other families, neighbors who love cooking and having get togethers with the other neighbors. We try to mix and mingle during the weekends, as long as the weather permits. This is a great neighborhood with so many different cultures and diversity. It would be an Awesome way to make bonds with new neighbors, as well continue to build relationships with neighbors that you have meet. |

We recently experienced Hurricane Irma in my area. Before the storm every neighbor was helping each other put up shutters. Each person asked if one another needed water or had all the supplies (batteries, food, etc) they would need to get through the storm. In fact, during the hurricane we braved rain and high winds to knock on doors and check on each other to see if everyone was holding up and safe. Personally, we had our little neighbors (ages 8 and 11) come over to do some baking to help distract them from the bad weather and having to be stuck inside all day. After the storm passed, we all came outside and checked on one another. |

It was great to see us all come together and offer support during this difficult time. We don't always get to meet or see one another during the week. Even during the storm we didn't really introduce ourselves - we just checked in to see how everyone was doing and to if they needed anything. This would be a chance to finally sit down and introduce ourselves. We'd get to find out names, jobs, who has kids, etc. It'd be nice to sit down, face to face, and get to know the people who came together to make it through the storm safe and sound. |

We have a community pool that would be a great place to meet. It's right at the front entrance to our neighborhood so it would give all the residents a central location to come to in order to thank one another for their kindness and generosity. |

We have a lot of nice kids, 20 at our bus stop. It's a melting pot with lots of ethnicity and all different social economic families. We strive on being kind to all and we are an about bullying neighborhood. We would love to meet all the new families in the neighborhood. |

We would like to meet all the neighbors and grow as a block. They don't allow the ice cream truck in our village and we have limited watering rights so we can't use the hose on hot days. This would be a wonderful opportunity for our neighborhood. We have a nice community and I feel the kids would be very appreciative of a block party. |
